How the Pomodoro method works
The basic cycle
Work in focused intervals (typically 25 minutes), then take a short break (5 minutes). After 4 focus sessions, take a longer break (15 minutes) before starting the cycle again.
Why does it help?
Short, timed sessions make it easier to start studying without feeling overwhelmed, and scheduled breaks reduce mental fatigue over long study sessions.
Does this keep running if I close the tab?
No — the timer runs only while this page is open. Keep the tab open (you can still switch to other tabs) for the countdown and alert to work.
