How it works
Why does it ask for the password?
Removing protection requires opening the PDF first, which needs the correct password — this tool doesn't attempt to bypass or crack passwords.
Will the unlocked PDF look the same?
Yes — each page is rendered exactly as it appears, then saved into a fresh, unprotected PDF. Note that this converts pages to a flattened, image-based format, so text will no longer be selectable/searchable.
Is my file or password uploaded anywhere?
No — everything happens locally in your browser. Neither your PDF nor its password ever leaves your device.
