This is a best-effort repair — it rebuilds the PDF's internal structure but can't recover data from a page that's too badly damaged to read at all. Everything happens in your browser; larger files show a short ad before downloading.
How repair works
What does this actually do?
It reads the PDF as leniently as possible, then copies every page it can successfully parse into a brand-new, cleanly-structured PDF file — this fixes most "won't open" or "corrupted structure" issues.
What if a page can't be recovered?
You'll be told how many pages were successfully recovered. If some pages are too damaged to read, they'll be skipped rather than breaking the whole file.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No — repair happens entirely in your browser. Your PDF never leaves your device.
